Self Portrait
I would title the portrait, The look of the past. The most prominent elements and principles in the portrait is black and white. I get the feeling of old rustic feel when I look at the picture. Reminds me of the past when photos were in black and white. It means alot to me, cause its my first digital art project. I would like to see how my work was in the beginning of this class and how my work is at the end. I want to see if my skills and technique will improve over the course.
Elements + Principles Activity
Emphasis-special stress laid upon, or importance attached to, anything.
The image on the left emphasizes the bomb going off in the middle of the city. The mushroom cloud goes miles above the city. Then the heat wave in the image is shown by the bright orange outline. It also emphasizes the size of the blast radius.

Working Crit
The image to the left needed some work with the lighting with the explosion on the upper left corner. To make it more realistic, giving off the look that it actually took place within the scenery. I tried to work on the lighting pertaining to the light that the explosion would of gave off to the siding of the church and the light that should of been towards the bottom of the picture. I could'nt figure out how to do that without messing up the whole picture.

My RB Music Logo
During the week all of my lettering spelling out Rb music. It was all flat and kind of plain. Till I figured out how to make them pop out and give them the 3D effect that I wanted to accomplish. I also I had to hand do the bulldog image because the outline of the picture was kind of fuzzy looking. So I had to redo the outline with a black brush. I feel like there could of been something more added to this piece. Maybe another image could of have been behind the logo in the background with a distant perspective look.
But overall I feel like I did a pretty good job at this logo, I could of maybe made it better but oh well I accept this piece how it ended up being.

Digital Painting
I would title the piece a stormy night. Light colors are presented with the piece. I wish I would've used darker colors and add defining ageing brush looks to the church. To represent the gloomy mood that the piece gives off. But I ran out of studio time, but I'm still pleased in how the piece came out. Could've been better but hey it's all right.
Zoo Cutout
I would title this piece " A Bright Day ". Mainly the composition of the work consists of light warm colors. I kind of hoped that I could of found a better color for the blue sky. I feel like it was not out of place but didn't really blend in well with the piece. It doesn't seem natural. Same with the light green that is used in the left hand side of the piece, it doesn't feel natural nor does it blend in too well. Overall I'm very pleased in how the piece came out to be, reminds me of an abstract piece I once saw before.
Old to New Photo
I would title the piece "Los Tres Jefes" which means the three bosses. Really the only element and principles in this piece is balance and lighting. The mood given off from the piece reminds me of children having a dream and making it big in life. This project was more basic than my other pieces of work.
Caricature of Al Capone
I would title the piece "An Iconic Cartoon Gangster". The elements and principles present within the piece are balance and contrast. I tried to do a caricature of Al Capone. It's hard to make out the figure, in all honesty it's hard to tell if its Al Capone or not. But that's why I included the Chicago skyline on the background to help reinforce who this man is suppose to be. Hopefully that helped but if not its oh well. I'm proud of what I was able to do and show within this piece. Only thing I wish I could of accomplished was that it resembled Al Capone more. I wish I could of included more facial details but when I tried I wasn't to happy with the results, so I left them out.
